I have that exact same photo (the last one) . its from outside the ommayad mosque in the little alleyway between the mosque and saladin's tomb right?

By the way, did you know that in the begining, the early muslims and christians used to share what is now the ommayad mosque? The newly arrived muslims prayed on one side and the christians prayed on the other.Apparently our ancestors were much more open minded about religion. When the mosque was being enlarged, the builders came upon a box with the writing "herein lies the head of John the Baptist", the name of the original church that was turned into the mosque? The John the Baptist Church. He remains buried inside the mosque becasue he is a prophet (while saladin for instance has to be buried outside the mosque because he is not).

Ofcourse the church itself originally took over from a huge Roman temple. The last few columns lining the road to the temple can still be seen at the end of the souq al-hamidiya.

You possibly can make awesome pairings with the beloved red wine. For example, you may match a Chardonnay with both Gouda or Provolone. For much stronger cheeses, such as Cheddar, choose a Cabernet for example Cabernet Sauvignon or Cabernet Franc. Zinfandel wine go attractively together with the more fragile cheeses for example Feta and Gouda. Cort5y656e
